Service Description

This half-day winter retreat offers you the space to pause after the busyness of Christmas, to reconnect with yourself through gentle yoga, expressive art and reflective pondering, and welcome in fresh beginnings with clarity and warmth. What to expect: We'll begin with a warming yoga session inspired by the energy of the Wolf Moon - a practice designed to help you listen inward, move with intentions and reconnect with what is quietly calling you into the year ahead. This session will include floor and standing poses. You'll then be guided through making your own folded 'zine' booklet, painting a lunar-inspired, ink-watercolour as your background. No art experience needed - just curiosity and the pleasure of creating with others. After a cosy break with hot drinks and healthy snacks, we'll settle on to our mats for some focused reflection time, where you will be able to embellish and fill your pages with words and insights that capture the qualities you want to invite into the coming year. This will be supported by a 'prompt card' to inspire your self enquiry. Finally, we sink into a soothing stretch and meditation yoga session, complete with aromatherapy oils, soft lighting, and lavender eye pillows to use in the ten minute guided meditation towards the end. This class is mostly floor based with just three standing poses. We finish with a closing circle to share reflections if you wish and to say thank you to each other for sharing the space together. What you need to bring: + Your bed pillow and blanket for the soothing stretch and meditation session. + Your own coffee mug and water bottle + Cosy socks and an extra layer to put on should you want to feel extra warm! What is included: + Herbal tea on arrival + Opening 'welcome' circle, introducing the focus for the day: " + One, 60 minute warming 'moon inspired' yoga class. + One, 60 minute ‘Soothing Stretch and Meditation’ yoga class. + Yoga mats, yoga blocks, aromatherapy oils, lavender eye pillows for use at the retreat. + All resources for the creative art session + Hot drinks and healthy snack bars available throughout the morning + A small retreat gift to take home

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: ALL bookings for ALL of Michelle's yoga classes are non-refundable & non-transferable to any future sessions. With regards to 6-week beginner’s yoga courses, at Michelle's discretion, a full refund will be made only if she is able to fill your space before the start of the course. ALL PAYMENTS must be made in advance for all yoga classes. PARTICIPATION IN ANY CLASS IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. You are responsible for your own well -being & physical condition during any class. By taking part in Michelle's classes you agree that you will work within your own comfortable capacity, you will never force or strain & you will stop if something doesn’t feel good to you. You agree that you will seek medical attention & advice as appropriate. If you feel dizzy, light headed, faint or if you experience any other discomforts, stop exercising immediately & inform Michelle. After class, consult a medical doctor. All students are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, injuries, or medications that could affect their practice before taking part in any class. This can be done verbally or through completing an information and consent form, provided by Michelle. Avoid drinking/taking drugs before practice. Wise not to eat heavy meals 2 hours before your class. Keep yourself well hydrated during class. All students must be 18 years and over to take part in my classes, workshops and/or courses. Michelle Burrows is not liable for injuries or accidents. Students agree to take responsibility for their health and well-being. You are responsible for your own belongings and property at all times during and after classes. Please enter the room quietly. Conversation after class is very much encouraged! No phones in class please. No photography or filming by any student during any class. Michelle may ask for your consent to be photographed. You have the right to agree or disagree. Bullying, harassment, abusive language and/or abusive comments during any class will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Michelle's yoga classes are a safe space for everyone regardless of colour, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief or ability/disability. Should you express views or make comments that could be deemed as derogatory, offensive or excluding of any community, you will kindly be asked to leave. Class &/or course content is for personal use only and is not to be shared. Michelle does not guarantee outcomes from the yoga classes.
